The painting talks about “the line of life” or the “destiny” that is SIMPLY in our hands. Started this painting from the feet- wanted to pay detailed attention to what carries body through every day. Then travelled with a line all the way through the canvas to reach the “playful” breast area, where you can see blue hands- spiritually the symbolism of conscious self- who you are and who you are becoming. Representing the ability to see intrinsic beauty within yourself and in all things. Like fluidity of moving water, blue hand is associated with the process of dance and beauty- a metaphor for the flow of life.
...Then finally put this tensed head into a BOX, because the only thing that holds us back is our unwelcome thoughts.
